Logan sat up in bed, his back ached and he couldnt fall asleep. Looking over at the clock, the red lights showed 2:45 a.m. The room was dark and a bit stuffy. The motel room curtains were drawn shut, but a single stream of orange light from the motel sign pierced the gap between the curtains.

Logan glanced over at Ally, who he concluded was sleeping. She was huddled under the covers, and Logan smiled. Logan thought about his deal often, but he never regretted it. Deep down, he loved his family more than himself and he'd give anything for them.

It had been two months since then and a lot had happened. After Ally was brought back, Logan, her, and Bobby found the yellow-eyed demon again, but were to late to stop him from opening the gates to hell. Logan was sure he was going to die, but they were saved by their father John, who Logan assumed was stubborn enough to get out of hell since the doors were open. Logan retrieved the colt and put a bullet into the yellow-eyed demons heart. John then disappeared, no hes not alive, he simply disappeared in a yellow brilliant light. Shortly after, Logan confessed his deal to Ally, and ever since they've been hunting demons and Ally's been hounding Logan about Hell.

Logan stood and walked over the window, where he gazed outside at nothing specific.

Ally had been drifting in and out of sleep for the past hour. She would get close to the blissful dark silence of her unconsciousness only to be jolted back awake from the noise of the restless night or the blaring lights of a passing car. She shielded her eyes with a hand and grimaced with a wince when the curtain was drawn back allowing a stream of light to flow in to the room. The salute of her brother stood by watching the outside. She called to him sleepily in slight aggravation and confusion. "What're you doing?" Her speech slurred slightly as she sat up against the pillows blinking towards the light.

Logan turned slight to face his sister. "Oh, uh, nothing. My back hurt. Couldn't sleep. Didn't mean to wake you up." Logan said turning back to the window. After a moment, he pulled the blinds shut and laid down on his bed, laying on the sheets and all. Logan had no real intention to fall asleep right now.

Ally nodded without any question and slid back down to a comfortable position on the bed. The spring frame mattress though made it hard for her to gain that desired comfort and she had to gather pillows all around her to finally be able to relax. She pulled the covers up over her face and darkness was followed soon by complete oblivion.

When morning came and Ally woke from her fitful sleep she felt an aching pain in her back. She sat up with a groan and a hand on her back as she faced the bed that Logan had been occupying. She looked around the small room when she found the bed to be emptied, but she was the only inhabitant left in the room. After finally letting the drowsiness fade away, Ally stood up and walked around to the bathroom. Her hair was in a tangled mess and the lack of sleep the night before showed in her eyes. She did her best in controlling her bed head and placed it in a long pony tail. She would have to get it cut soon she decided in her mind. It was getting too long. The brown mass went clear straight down her back, stopping right beneath her shoulder blades, but it was still too much to deal with.

Ally left the bathroom and strolled over to the front door of the motel room, a distance that took less than ten steps. She opened the door and a wave of cool autumn air washed over her face. Stepping out onto the even cooler concrete, she tip toed down a small flight of stairs until she got to a paved side walk. She stopped and looked around, finding her brother rummaging through his prized possession.

Logan rubbed his eyes. He had gotten an hour or so of actual sleep and he wasn't sure if it was just that he was uncomfortable, or something else. The cool air didn't bother him at all, he simpley lifted the collar of his father's leather jacket a little higher on his neck.

Logan had scanned the parking lot and began rummaging through the trunk. He gave the guns a quick checkup and made sure everything was there and accounted for.

Logan placed the decoy padding over the equipment and pushed the trunk down. He looked over and saw Ally walking up to him. Logan leaned back against the trunk and stared off for a second. As Ally came up next to him, he looked over at her, "How'd you sleep?"

Ally jumped up on the trunk of the car and let her legs dangle over the edge as she mockingly laughed out a "ha," at her brother's question and then more solemnly answered, "I didn't...barely." Ally didn't know how much sleep she had gotten, but it didn't feel like enough.

"Does your back still hurt? I think it's those beds. Mine's killing me," she said as she massaged the area between her neck and shoulder and then winced hitting a sore spot.

"I get more damage from those beds than I do a demon."

Logan laughed and knodded his agreement. Logan took out a piece of paper with Bobby's handwriting on it. "Speaking of demons. Bobby's going to meet us at this address later today. He says some heavy duty demons are here, and by the looks of the murders in town, they resemble the 7 deadly sins." Logan noticed Ally's expression, "I know, I feel like I'm in the movie '7' with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman."

"Brad Pitt is hot though," Ally retorted with a grin, taking the paper into her hands to read the message herself. She gave it back to Logan with a shrug when she was finished and then jumped down off of the car, her feet curling up from the small pebbles and asphalt.

"Well," she took a deep breath to pause for her thoughts, "I guess I'm going to go get ready then. The address Bobby has written down is about a four hour drive from here so you should probably go pick something up to eat before we get there."

Ally then walked back towards the motel on the heel and tip toes of her bare feet until she got to the side walk and then up to the room closing the door behind her.

Logan knodded and decided to drive off to get some food, and stop by the gas station for things to eat and drink the way.

From the moment Logan pulled out of the parking lot to the moment he got back, all he thought about the was conversation he had with the crossroads demon. It felt to him that he made the deal yesterday and the deal was only 10 months. Logan shrugged the memory off as usual and honked the Impala to signal Ally he was ready to go.

Allison turned her head from side to side viewing her facial profile in the mirror. Dark locks of hair spotted the bathroom sink and floor with a pair of scissors and a comb laying next to each other on the counter. Her lengthy dark brunette hair had been cut nearly in half. Where it once fell to her back, it now hanged to just below her shoulders. Her bangs had been cut as well, falling into a sweep above her eyes down to her ears.

Ally smiled, thankful for the future prospect of not having to view a demon between the strands of her hair as she lifted the remaining hair to her head with a sweep of her fingers. She dropped her arms back down immediately from the sound of an unmistakable car horn honking and exited the bathroom leaving the mess behind her. The beds in the adjoining room remained unkempt, with pillows scattered on the floor and bed sheets hanging carelessly. A single bag holding Ally's possessions laid in wait at the foot of the door. She picked it up swinging the strap over her shoulders and left the room locking it behind her.

The impala's engine rumbled loudly in the crisp morning air. A few crows added to the noise as they traveled from the ground to the cable lines dotting the highway, squawking in contempt of the disturbance. Ally bit her lip trying to hold back a smile as she got into the car. Seeing a shocked look on Logan's face was what made her days when she did something out of the ordinary. It made her happy knowing that she could still do things that would put him in disbelief. Actually, it didn't matter who it was, she just liked seeing people's different reactions.

She turned and smiled at him holding onto her over night bag in her lap. "So, are we going?"

Logan smirked and put the Impala in drive, "Looks nice," Logan smiled as they pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road.

Logan recalled how only Ally could really surprise him. Everything else he's seen. Killing a werewolf at age eight kinda sealed the deal on surprises. Nothing really bothered Logan these past couple months. Ever since the deal, he's been on a kamakazie rampage, always ready to run in guns blazing. Logan felt he had nothing to lose now. If anything, he'd just be sent downstairs ahead of schedule. Logan knew Ally would be able to go on without him. She was stronger, stronger than himself at times. He knew she could do it. She would still have Bobby.

Logan returned his attention to the road when a light thud hit the windshield of the Impala. Logan clicked the windshield wipers on as it began to rain a little bit heavier.

Ally reclined her seat back and brought a small travel blanket over her and closed her eyes. The rain had always been a nursery to her. The repetitive and soothing, constant thud of the rain drops calmed her until she was soon fast asleep. A smile lingered faintly on her lips as she began dreaming.

There was a fluorescent green light that glowed with the multiple hues of the forest. Sun shone through the branches of tall oak trees, revealing dust particles in the air. Ally watched from above as her body began walking down a hill, almost gliding. She followed as if pulled by a string and stopped as her body did at the edge of the trees where a cliff dropped off. Below was nothing but sky, an endless amount of clouds. She leaped, but instead of falling straight down, she kept landing right back where she had leaped. Finally, she decided to climb down. Step by step, Ally watched as her body began to scale down the cliff and stopped at a ledge where a cave opening tempted her body in. It was dark and endless. There were no tunnels, no turns, the light of the sky and the ledge remained behind her no matter how far she walked. Exasperated, she gave up and turned back around and began climbing further down the cliff. A rope bridge with a slight down ward slant stood attached to the next ledge she landed on. Her eye could not see where the bridge ended as it disappeared into the clouds. She began walking. Each step wobbled beneath her, unstable and ready to give in at any moment. Ally floated above watching everything as her body began running and then finally stopped as the rope bridge ended back at the entrance of the forest where she started.

Ally awoke with a start and a deep inhale as the car pulled to a slow, cruising over the speed bumps outside a large construction building. She blinked her eyes and sat up, pulling the seat up along with her and stared out through the window shield at the large building. Multiple windows were broken and the top of the building was left unfinished, without a roof. There were no doors, only a single chain and a warning sign, ordering for hard hats in the construction zone. Ally stared blankly at the view and spoke in an even and unemotional tone.

"Is it just me, or do all demons choose hide outs with the same interior design?"

"Well," Logan said while shutting off the Impala and stepping out of the car, "only the creepy ones pick the nice quiet house in the suburbs." Logan reached into the car and grabbed the cheeseburger he'd been eating, even though it was 10:30 in the morning. Logan walked over to the back of the car and started grabbing equipment

"Bout darn time you got here." Bobby's voice boomed a yard or so away. "Lucky for you, our pals aren't at home, so we have time to booby trap the place." Bobby walked up and patted Logan on the back, "So, we're eating bacon cheeseburgers for breakfast are we?"

Logan took a bite and said with his mouth partially full, "Sold my soul. Got a year to live. I ain't sweatin' the cholesterol." Logan grabbed some rosaries, holy water, spray paint, and guns and gave some to Ally.

Ally opened the car door and sat with her legs out as she replaced her sandals with tennis shoes. She had had the experience of fighting demons in high heels, bare foot, and in flats; she had discovered over the time, that all variations left her feet very painful. Tennis shoes were the best and she carried at least one pair with her wherever she went. After she had them tightly laced up she jumped out of the car and closed the door behind her. The gravel beneath her feet crunched as she joined Logan and her uncle Bobby. A loud booming bark startled her a bit as she turned to see Charlie, a German shepherd running up to them with a wagging tail and lolling tongue.

"Charlie!" Ally burst out excitedly as she kneeled down to shower affection on the three's loyal follower.

"Have you been a good boy?"

An excited bark and a series of circles answered Ally's question. She stood back up with a last rub behind the ears and hugged her Uncle who looked just as astonished by her new hair cut as Bobby had. He gave her a heart warming smile and brushed her hair behind her ear.

"Well look at'chu. A new hair cut an' ever thing. You certainly have your mother's looks."

Ally smiled at her uncle's comments and then laughed a bit as she took on the equipment being handed to her from Logan. "We have to get Logan good and fat for all the demons. If he can't fight them off, he might be able to smother them by falling on them."

Logan gave Ally a sarcastic smile. Logan had no intention of losing his defined muscles. If he didn't have weapons, it was the only thing he could rely on.

"So, you really think we're dealing with the 7 deadly sins, Bobby?"

Bobby knodded, "I spied them out for a couple hours. There are 7 of 'em and each death around town resembles each sin."

Logan knodded and began to make his way into the building. "Okay, let's do the usual: go in, rosaries in toilets or something else with water already in it, devil traps under rugs, on ceilings, and we'll wait outside till they get back, go in as if we just got here and weren't prepared."

Ally followed behind Logan with Charlie trailing after her and nodded to the usual system of trapping. The inside of the building was bleak and damp. The air was much colder than it was outside and the air reeked of something rotten mixed with a tinge of sweetness. It was an unmistakable smell of a dead body. She covered her arm over her nose in disgust trying not to gag. No matter how many times she came upon the smell, Ally couldn't help but want to throw up when her nose inhaled that scent. She kept her nose wrinkled and tried not to breath in the air through her nose as much as she began setting down all of the items that Logan had given her. Numerous pipes with flowing water out of there leaks now sported rosaries and piles of cardboard boxes held dangerous traps underneath them with lamp ceilings holding the same content.

When Ally was finished she met Bobby and Logan back outside of the building. It was a relief to breath in fresh air. She looked back at the building with a thought in her head as she mused aloud.

"You know, even if we destroy these demons, there is no stopping humans from destroying themselves with these sins."

Logan didn't physical show his agreement, but Logan only understood what Ally meant too well. "Demons, I get. Humans, I don't." Logan said.

Logan and Bobby drove their cars out of sight, so the demons wouldn't see when they got back. Logan and Ally stood a few blocks away from the building on a branch of a tall tree. Ally was twirling a walkie-talkie in her hands. Once Logan spotted the demons, they would tell Bobby, who was on the opposite side of the building, on the walkie-talkie.

Every now and then, Logan would pull the binoculars to his eyes and look through them for a moment, then he'd place them down and sigh. Logan noticed that Ally hadn't said two words to him since they got into position. This was very unlike her. Logan tried to take his mind of it by checking the Colt. He made sure it was clean and the bullets were loaded.

As the two hid in the tree masked by the coverage of its leaves, Ally chucked to herself. Her eyes were slightly glazed over in thought. She brought them back as she focused on her brother next to her. She sighed and shook her head,

"You know...demons at least know they are evil. Human on the other hand...they try to hide it beneath beautiful masks. Underneath it all, are they comparably any better than those demons we kill? Murderers, rapists, genocide...who really is the more evil?"

She laughed again and then just mumbled lowly to herself leaning her head on her brother's shoulder for support. "Never mine. I'm just rambling."

"I honestly don't think demons have a choice. They just do it because that's what they are. Humans on the other hand have a choice." Logan was lost in thought for a second and something occured to him.

"It's funny. We have all this evil bombarding us everyday and there's not one spec of good to oppose it. You would think that if there is evil then there would be good, but there's not. Still, there are people in the world who don't deserve to be stuck down here, getting ripped to shreds." Logan had never believed in a God or anything of that sort. Not when his family was cursed like this, there wasn't any good in this world. "I mean, if there is a god, what the hell is he waitin' for?"

Ally smiled a bit at her brother listening to him explain the one difference between them. Logan had always been stubborn to putting his faith in God, Ally on the other hand lived her life for the prospect. It gave her hope that in the end all of what she did meant something. She took a moment to gather her thoughts and then answered him.

"Maybe nothing. Maybe he isn't waiting at all for anything. It could though at the same time be just the opposite. But I won't speak for him. I just know that in the end when I die, I hope that I did some good in the world so that I'm not forgotten by the people who still live."

Logan smiled and ruffled Ally's hair. "That's a good state-of-mind sis. Let's hope I can leave something when the time comes." Logan said a little quietly. Logan and Ally sat in silence for a moment. Logan thought over how that might have upset Ally.

Logan looked up and pulled the binoculars to his eyes as he heard hollering and laughing. Logan saw two cars pull up to the building. And seven people jumped out of them. Logan knodded at Ally, she then told Bobby on the walkie-talkie. Logan and Ally jumped down from the tree and began making their way to the building.

Ally drew back from the conversation after Logan's last comment. She couldn't help but think how he would be leaving her behind. It would be so different with him gone. How was she going to be able to handle it? Her thoughts were jarred away from melancholy as two cars pulled into the parking lot outside the building. Ally spied seven people walking out and contacted Bobby. She watched a little bit more, before jumping down to the ground with Logan. She stopped him at the edge of the trees to observe for a just a bit longer. Their sin could easily be seen from their clothes and actions.

Ally spotted the single woman out of the group of seven and lightly nudged Logan next to her with a wide grin on her face.

"I guess lust is going to be your problem here."

She held back a laugh as she followed him towards the building once the seven sins disappeared inside of it.

Logan shoved Ally's shoulder. "Don't let your Pride get to you." Logan chuckled as they started jogging to the building. Logan and Ally stood at both sides of the door. Logan cocked the Colt. He knodded at Ally and Logan pushed the door open.

Logan and Ally silently walked into the building, pointing their guns and shining their flashlights around them. Logan clicked the walkie-talkie on and whispered into it. "Bobby, take the ground floor and Ally and I will check upstairs." Logan clicked it off and lead Ally upstairs.

Once they reached the top of the stairs, it split into to hallways. Logan pointed to the one on the left to Ally. Logan smiled and started walking down the right hallway.

Ally rolled her eyes with a smile as she followed after her brother. It was getting to be mid afternoon and heading into the evening. She hoped they would be finished and out of the abandoned building before night fall. Upon entering the building, the same familiar stink clouded up Ally's nose and her eyes watered in her attempt to fight back a cough.

Logan motioned for her to a set of stair cases and Charlie attempted following after her. She stopped him with a look and whispered in his ear,
"Stay here and guard uncle Bobby."

Charlie looked like he wanted to whimper as his tail stopped wagging, but he understood and kept silent and scampered off to find Bobby. Ally stepped up onto the top landing with Logan and looked around. Before they split up into two different hallways she whispered across to him.

"Do you think they know we are here already? They probably caught our scent."

Even with dousing themselves in the holy water, a human scent could always be left behind and there was rarely a case where a demon couldn't smell one out ahead of time. It was all in the end a matter of who caught who first. Taking the left hallway, Ally checked each side corner she came upon and every possible room. There was no sign of any demons. They were hiding.

Logan checked each room of the hallway. Logan stopped at the last room and walked inside. It was a bathroom. Logan walked in and peered outside when he found the room empty. Suddenly the door to the bathroom slammed behind him.

Standing in front of the door was a slender, blonde, beautiful girl that was playfully smiling at Logan.

Ah crap, Logan thought to himself. Logan lifted the Colt at the girl, but it flew out of his hands to the other side of the room. The girl giggled and slowly inched toward Logan.

"Alright, just stay back." Logan said.

"Or what?" The girl mocked him.

Logan thought for a moment, "good point."

The girl smiled, "Besides, I don't want to kill you...yet. I want to have some fun." The girl jumped forward and began kissing Logan. Logan lifted his hand and tangled it in the girls hair. Logan started kissing her back and slowly pulled her with him until he was pressed against the wall.

Logan had set her up perfectly. Logan slammed his fist into the girl's stomach and gripped her hair. He pulled her head back and then pushed her head down into the toilet, which Logan had blessed and left a rosary in. The girl struggled against Logan's grip. Logan pulled her head out for a moment and slammed it back in. Logan chanted an exorcism in latin. The girl jerked back and screamed, a black cloud of smoke burst out of her mouth and seaped into the ground in a blaze of fire. Logan dropped the girl and she lay unconcious on the ground.
