Highschool

*Takenya giggled at Janis, shrugging to answer her question*

'I was looking for you, but, I didn't know you were HERE.'

"Yeah. Uh. Where were you?" she waved the question off. "Never mind. Don't answer. Uh..classes..." She held out her hand for the schedule she expected Takenya to still have. She also in the mean time dug out her own school map and handed it over to her.

*Takenya reached into her backpack, into her binder, to pull out the schedule, handing over to Janis, grabbing the Map and looking into it*

"Alright classes..." Janis blinked again and rubbed her back. It was really starting to hurt and being up early in the morning wasn't a plus for her.

"English, Science, Social Studies, ...Math...and homeroom...uh Electives..electives." She scanned the paper until she found them. "Oh okay...uhmumum...Yeah, I can show you where these are."

"We have like twenty minutes before the first ten minute bell rings and no one is really here yet."

Shana sat down in her seat in Math, and nobody was there yet. She looked down at the schedule and read the time. "7:30am. No wonder. It's only 7:00," she said to herself, annoyed. She was usually right on time. She took her textbook and looked at the stuff they were learing. "Ew, this is all easy," she said, with disgust. She took out her favourite book, and sat back reading. This was going to be a long, long, day.

*Takenya watched as Janis rubbed her own back, feeling bad for her, but, knowing, there's nothing she could do*

'Okay.'

"You ready then?" Janis said with a smile. "You are in a lower grade level than me, so I'm going to have to use the map to find your classes. But it isn't that hard to use. The numbers here correspond with the ones on the door and I guess it just takes some time getting used to."

Janis lead her down the hallway until they got through the first four class rooms. "See, it's pretty easy since they keep the halls separated by grade level. The only thing you have to worry about is your electives. You will have to travel up for that."

This time taking a route upstairs, she once again showed her where the classes were only stopping once to see that there was another person already in a class. It surprised her anyone would be there that early since classes didn't even officially start after home room at 8:30. She didn't mind the fact that classes started later than most schools. It meant that she was able to get up later even if school didn't get out until 3:30. Once they finished the classes, Janis lead Takenya back downstairs.

"Okay, do you think you can get everywhere now? If you want we can do a trial test run first."

*Takenya node to Janis, smiling, but not too cute, so she can look mature. She follows Janis to her destinations*

'Yeah, I got it down-packed, Janis.'

*She giggled, nodding to Janis with a weird smile smooshed across her face, feeling as though Janis was her big sister*

"Well that's good. I'm going to stop by the math room. It's my first class today and I saw somewhere there already, I'm thinking of just checking in to say hi. It's a pain otherwise to find any sort of clique of friends. You can come with if you want." she said as she headed back up the stairs. Janis followed the hallway down the rows of lockers until she found the math room again. The person was still sitting there. She waved. "Didn't know people were here this early." she laughed.

*Takenya nods and follows along behind Janis' footsteps, pulling her knee-hi socks up every once in awhile with her barney backpack on her back, giggling as she holds onto the back of Janis' school shirt*

((Yay! It's time for me to teach. 2 more minutes. :3 ))

Janis smiled awkwardly at Takenya and laughed before remembering the jobs that they applied for. Her first orientation was friday and she wanted to know if Ain and Takenya had been chosen.

"Did you get a call yet for the job?"

(Teach what?))

*Takenya shakes her head, making her long, loose bang slide behind her shoulder, pouting*

'Hopefully, they will, soon, though.'

(Japanese. I speak it pretty well since I took classes for it, and since other people want to know how, I decided I would teach them on here. I just have to wait for them to show up.)

Janis shrugs with a bit of a frown letting her smile fade only momentarily. "Well you saw how many people there were, they probably have to review everyone before making any final decisions."

(Wow. What a coincidence, Haha. I was JUST watching a video that teaches me how to speak Japanese, and I took notes.))

*Takenya
looked at Janis, and then to a student couple sitting on two different
chairs outside of their class, writing notes to each other and giggles,
looking back at Janis*

'Yeah, I guess.'

(Just ask lol. And if you want I can teach you. I took the actual class from a native speaker...so I might be useful)

*Takenya smiles at Epona, nodding as she looks into her own backpack, pulling it from around her shoulder and searching for her cellphone*

Janis tilted her head looking down at Takenya's phone. She still needed to get one herself. The manager of the store asked that she try and attempt to get one before she officially started her job. But she didn't know if she could even afford one.

"Hey, Kenya. About how much do those cost?"

*Takenya looks up at Janis above her, flipping open her pink, flowery cellphone with the poring phonechain on the extention wire*

'Huh? This? Oh. Mine was fifty U.S. dollars. But, at cheap stores, they're about ... I dunno. Haha, but, they're cheap.'

Being a "yankee" or American herself, Janis nodded understanding and tried to calculate the currency of money she had at home. Fifty dollars? Did she even have that. Well, there would probably be phones of cheaper value. And then there was the phone plan. She would have to pay for that. Maybe if she wrote to her parents. She smiled a little. Asking for a cell phone wouldn't hurt. She wondered why they didn't get her one before she left. It was probably because her father wouldn't pay for anything and her mother wanted to be more "traditional." She wanted her to write instead. Which, faithfully without any choice Janis did each week. She would ask for a cellphone this time.

"Thanks. I need to get one." she said to Takenya.

*Takenya nods to Janis, feeling uncomfortable as she groaned, looking up at the mirror-cameras at the corner of the hallway which the group stood upon*

'I never eat breakfast ...'

*Her stomach grumbled, growling and hissing as she whined alittle more*

"The school cafeteria opens up in about ten minutes for the early students. One dollar should be enough to get you a milk and banana or some other snack. It's not good to skip out on breakfast." Janis said this feeling a bit like a hypocrite.

She knew it wasn't good to skip out on it, but she didn't do it on purpose. She hated getting up in the mornings, so she always waited until the last minute to get ready. It was why she always took showers at night. Which, in the Chateau, that was a blessing in itself. The baths were amazing since it was like a hot tub with jet streamers and she almost found herself hypnotized for a second. She started laughing a bit.

"Sorry, I sorta spaced out."

*Takenya laughs at Janis and smiles warmly*

'Yeah, I know, but, I don't have an alarm to wake me up in the mornings, so, I can't remember when I'm supposed to wake up. I usually never can. So, my body sorta tells me when to wake up for School, haha.'

*She reminds herself to pick up her brother after School and go to the Bakery to meet 'Ms. Farley' for some bread*

"Doesn't your phone have an alarm?" she asked with a slight nod in its direction. Just then her music teacher passed by in the hallway and he stopped. He was wearing something that a teenager might even if it was still considered appropriate for a teacher. A regular t-shirt beneath a collard button down one, that was of course left unbuttoned and regular khaki pants. His hair was spiked and he looked nothing more than a boy himself with his kiddish attitude.

"Oh don't tell me." He scratched his head playfully and then snapped his fingers. "Janis!"

Startled from such a boisterous attitude in the morning Janis smiled despite herself and nodded.

"Yes."

"How come you didn't choose to play yesterday in class?" he asked with a bit of a pout.

Janis shrugged.

"I didn't see anyone else who plays piano in that class. I'm sure your class mates would be impressed."

She just shrugged again. "I didn't have any music sheets. I only know one song by memorization."

"Well that would have been fine. But would you mind at least showing me your talent today before school ends. I want to get a basis on how skilled my lovely students are!"

Janis couldn't refuse to such a happy person. She really didn't want to. She didn't know why, but it was just awkward playing in front of other people. It made her nervous.
