School Courtyard

Ryuu showed her another one from the notebook.

(haha. Deviant art is just as good. :3)

"It looks like something you would see in Italy, or at least the man." she comments and then flips through the pages of the book to view all that were in there.

"Do you have a teacher or do you just practice a lot?"

"My dad used to teach me but he is dead."
Ryuu sat down, his stomach growled.
"..."

Upon hearing his stomach growling Janis looked down at hers and thought about her own hunger. She hadn't eaten since breakfast.

"Do you want to get something to eat, and then if you don't mind you can tell me about your drawings and stuff."

"Next stop cafeteria."
Ryuu jumped back up and started to walk towards a door.
"I usually think about something and draw.Its easier to draw from a model tho."

"Idiot." She pulled back on his sleeve. "The school is closed and the cafeteria is locked and I'm not letting you bust down more doors. Choose a different place."

"Then why do I carry lock picking tools?"
Ryuu asked looking at her as he yanked his arm out of her grip.

She sighed and followed him doubtfully.
"For a new student you sure are getting into trouble fast and you can be sure that if we do get caught here, then we probably well get suspended."

"That would be the firts time."
Ryuu opened the door with his lock picking tools, and asked.
"Wheres the cafeteria?"

Feeling some what like an accomplice to a crime soon to be carried out she lead Ryuu down two hallways and down to the commons area and pointed over to the side next to a stage where tables had been folded up.

"Move the tables and that's where they have the kitchen."

Ryuu walks to the tables and moves them to the right, he runs to the fridge and opens it.
"..."

Janis follows after him and peers around. She had never seen the inside of the kitchen before, only through the windows where they served the food out.

"What's in there?" she called out to Ryuu as he opened the fridge.

Ryuu turns around, mouth full of food and says.
"Fhpoohd."

"Well sheesh, it's not going anywhere so you can take your time and you eat like your starving."

she laughed and then scavenged the fridge herself taking out a yogurt and milk. She hopped up on one of the counters and with her legs crisscrossed began at her small meal with a plastic spoon.

He swallows the food and searches the freezer next for dessert.
"Ooo."
Ryuu Jumps inside the freezer and comes back with two strawberry popcicles, he starts walking towards Janis as he throws one of the popcicles on her lap he sits down next to her.

Janis watched with bewilderment as he searched through the freezer. She grabbed the Popsicle with delight when it was tossed to her and pulled off its plastic wrapping.

"You certainly are eccentric you know that." she mused aloud as she bit into her frozen treat.

"What the hell is eccentric?" Ryuu asked and took of the plastic wrapping.
He licked the popcicle and his tounge got stuck on it.
"...."

She tried to stifle a laugh at first but failed and erupted into a fit of giggles.

"Nice look and I guess out of the ordinary or unique. Someone who doesn't follow the norm, for example you kicking down a door or lock picking one. Or sneaking into the school cafeteria instead of just going home for a snack. And you said you were new. Where you from?"

"Im from your backyard."
Ryuu ripped the popcicle out of his tounge and ate it with one bite.
He jumped down from the counter and looked around.

"Is that sarcasm?" she asked and then rolled her eyes and swung her feet over the edge of the counter after she had finished the rest of her treat and jumped off.

"If you don't wanna tell me okay, but you know we should get going before it gets too dark. I have a while to walk."

"Lets get going."
Ryuu walked to the hallways and looked around.
"Wheres the damn exit." He said.

Janis again lead him back to the exit and to the court yard where they had first met. In the distance she could see the sun sinking down below the tall reaching branches of trees and the sky began to pale.

"Where do you live?" She asked curiously as she began to walk towards the side walk that lead to a road away from the school.

Ryuu followed her and asked.
"Has this school dorms?"
He looked towards the sun, his eyes had a distand look and again he started to search his pockets for the MP3 player.

"Yes, but I don't stay in them. They cost money. Besides, I have a much better set up."

She smiled mischievously and with a bit of pride as they walked further and further away from the school until it was completely out of view.

"If you want to see I can show you."

"Got nothing better to do."
Ryuu put plugs in his ear and turned on the MP3 player.
