Hospital

When she woke up, her head was sending signals throughout her brain that it was in pain, and very much wanted more of what ever was previously keeping the pain away. Now running out of it, she was feeling the effects. A few tears blurred her eyes as the pain steadily began to worsen. Trying her best to ignore this, she could see across the room, her mom in a chair sleeping or trying to. It didn't look like she was getting very far.

"Mom?"

Startled she opened her eyes and smiled and then quickly ran over to her and hugged her.

Mithoes walked down the hallway towards the room that Janis was staying in, having taken a few minutes fora bathroom break, and noticed her and what he assumed to be her mom hugging, although he had never asked the woman to be sure, because he knew that she was, then he might start appologizing excessively, and then all he would manage to do was annoy her. He sighed a little and leaned against the wall next to the door of the room, staring at nothing in particular.

"Mom, where's dad?" she asked once her mom broke away and sat on the edge of the bed next to her. For the moment the pain seemed to disappear.

"He couldn't make it. His work wouldn't allow him."

Janis shrugged. Her dad's absence never bothered her in the past.

"But, you have a friend."

Her mom said and looked up to the door where Janis's eyes followed and she could see Mit's figure behind the window.

Mithoes suddenly felt as if he were being watched and then turned around to see two sets of eyes staring dead at him. He waved meekly, practicly shrinking down to try to hide below the window, before giving up and opening the door, walking into the room.

Janis spoke first before her mom and who just waited patiently. "How long have you been here?" She didn't know how much had already been told, but she was sure her mom at the end of this would probably want her home. That was the last thing she wanted.

"Ah... Ever since you got here? Now atleast I know never to expect you to head a soccer ball if we ever have that rematch. " He mumbled, looking over at her mom, or at least who he thought was her mom, wondering if she would get mad at the poor sense of humor, and tell him to get out since she would now know who had caused her daughter to wind up in the hospital

"Yeah, I did take a quick fall to the head. But thanks for seeing me fall and catching me. It's a good thing that you were there otherwise I probably wouldn't be." she said in cover up. She was thinking the exact same thing. If her mom knew the real reason she fell even if it was strictly and accident, she would be back home. And she didn't want that.

"Uhh... yeah, it's a good thing I was there. So, are you ok?" He asked, looking over at her with a worried expression, wondering why she would help cover up for him.
