| She is the "Angel" that gave men devilish thoughts. The 1/3 of the original Charlie's Angels, actress and Golden Globe and Emmy award nominee died June 25, 2009 from anal cancer that she had been battling since 2006. It finally claimed her life at 9:28 A.M. in Santa Monica, California at the still too young age of 62. Born Feb. 2, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, she was named Mary Farrah Leni Fawcett by her mother, who said she added the Farrah because it sounded good with Fawcett. She was less than a month old when she underwent surgery to remove a digestive tract tumor with which she was born. In school her beauty came to the attention of many class mates and eventually the media. After much reluctance from her parents, she was soon to become a star. She appeared in many commercials and television shows until her big break. On March 21, 1976, the first appearance of Fawcett playing the character Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels was aired as a movie of the week. The series formally debuted on September 22, 1976. Fawcett emerged as a fan favorite in the show. In a 1977 interview with TV Guide, she said: "When the show was number three, I thought it was our acting. When we got to be number one, I decided it could only be because none of us wears a bra". Her sense of humor and ability to be comfortable in her own skin is what is an inspiration. She enjoyed life and held no restrictions for herself. In 1995, at age 48, Fawcett posed partly nude for Playboy magazine. The following year, she starred in a Playboy video, “All of Me,” in which she was equally unclothed while she sculpted and painted. She told an interviewer she considered the experience “a renaissance,” adding, “I no longer feel ... restrictions emotionally, artistically, creatively or in my everyday life. I don’t feel those borders anymore.” Perhaps on a more modest level of t.v. entertainment, Fawcett starred in a movie that was an inspiration for wives as her character portrayed that of one in an abused relationship. The film, "The burning bed" earned her an Emmy nomination followed by "Extremities", about a woman who was raped in her own home. Not content to continue playing victims, she switched type. She played a murderous mother in the 1989 true-crime story “Small Sacrifices” and a tough lawyer on the trail of a thief in 1992’s “Criminal Behavior.” She also starred in biographies of Nazi-hunter Beate Klarsfeld and photographer Margaret Bourke-White. “I felt that I was doing a disservice to ourselves by portraying only women as victims,” she commented in a 1992 interview. Even as a sex icon for the 70's she had personality and she will be a star to be missed and mourned over. “Farrah had courage, she had strength, and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels." | |

| Yeah. I know. xD Still. Cancer isn't funny. The name "anal" I guess is funny to some, just not the thing itself. | |

| That isn't good. Cancer runs in my family as well for the women. My mom thought she had breast cancer at one point and had to get a sist removed because of it. Luckily she didn't have it, but she is still worried about me. | |
